Journalist and author Toby Harnden is US Editor of The Daily Telegraph of London

Based in Washington DC, Toby has spent nearly eight years covering America and has reported from all 50 states.

Formerly Chief Foreign Correspondent of The Sunday Telegraph and Middle East Correspondent of The Daily Telegraph, he has covered the Iraq and Afghanistan wars both independently and as an embed with British and American troops.

Toby is author of the best-selling "Bandit Country: The IRA & South Armagh". He is currently writing his second book, about the Welsh Guards in Helmand and due to be published by Quercus in May 2011.
